Fall Hair Health

Let's agree on two things:

1. Summer is entirely too short (and always has been).

2. The sultry seasonal activities and habits can wreak havoc on the health and condition of your hair.

So, what do you do after a summer of fun in the sun, sand and sea?  If you're not scheduled in the salon to have your "End of Summer" hair health evaluation, you ought to be!  And if not, save our checklist and take inventory!

Our end of summer must haves.  As always, no shame, bring in what you have and we will get your regimen perfect for you.

The damage summer causes to the hair falls in to the category of what we hairdressers like to call "environmental damage".  This just means any damage not caused by chemicals or hot tools (like blow dryers and irons).  Environmental damage can make your hair look and feel dry and lack luster.  The sun and chlorine are two most notorious culprits out there.   They can cause premature fading of the color you work so hard to achieve at the hairdressers and lets not get started in on the buildup of pool chemicals!

But before you decide to live exclusively indoors (semi-kidding) or talk yourself into wearing wigs everyday we have a few things you can do to maintain and treat your hair! The key to maintaining control of your hair is to have a few items on hand (at home) and know when it's time to visit the hairdresser.

Time to see the hairdresser

  • You are not seeing results from the at home efforts.

  • Your color has faded and is fading way too fast!

  • Your hair is breaking!

We have many in salon treatments that are super helpful for all of these symptoms.  The key to keeping your hair beautiful and healthy is to schedule regular maintenance from the very beginning.

We can tint your take home shampoos and conditioners to help you keep unwanted tones at bay, we offer keratin and silk treatments to maintain strength and color durability, and of course olaplex to relink the broken bonds that occurs through chemical, environmental and thermal damage.  Call the salon for details 234-208-8226.
