Transformation from a cut to a treatment

Sometimes we have to deviate from a regularly scheduled program to make way for breaking news…

On occasion, we can have several issues going on at the same time. It can overwhelm us and make us think our hair is never going to feel like it used to.

When it was thicker, shinier, fuller, longer, softer….

Today, my client’s complaints are that her hair is dry and falling out. Some of it is breaking. and possibly some excessive shedding. And she had an angry scalp that was dry and not always comfortable. It was red and inflamed, and the skin was flaking off.

The biggest item of importance for her was to preserve her length and let it be healthy. She’s taking some over-the-counter vitamins for her hair's growth and health, refraining from shampooing too frequently, and avoiding anything that can irritate her scalp further. She had some breakage in the length of her hair. not just at the ends. This made her very concerned because she wants to keep her length! She thought she needed to keep

coming in to cut it!

Hold on, Amiga Mia! We can do some amazing things with in-salon treatments and some well-prescribed at home regimens!

We opted not to do her hair this time! Although we could do some ammonia-free and demi-perm colors that would add massive shine and make her hair feel wonderful, this topic will be saved for a future date.

Instead, we did a Fusio dose that handles falling and breaking hair. She did brave it and bring her length up a bit, which really helped show off how much hair she does have. We also did a specialty cut that snoops off the broken and damaged hair in the middle of the length.

We did blow out her hair with her recommended regimen:

  • Kerastase Serum Potentialiste: 3 pipettes on the scalp massaged in. helps to rebalance the scalp with antioxidants and probiotics. which means it calms an angry scalp.

  • Kerastase Extentioniste Thermique: a leave in treatment that helps with the missing protein and protection she needs so badly to prevent more splitting.

  • Kerastase Serum Therapiste: To wrap her sensitive ends in a cushion of goodness to nourish and treat as she styles.
